Privacy policy

The short version

We don't sell anything. We don't share your data with advertising networks. We collect only what we need to answer your booking question, process your reservation, or count page views so we know which pages are useful. Details on each below.

What we collect, and why

If you fill out the contact form: name, email, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to respond to you. We delete inquiries that don't lead to a booking after six months.

If you book directly: our booking software (Lodgify) collects what's needed to process payment and arrange your stay — name, email, billing address, and payment information. Lodgify stores this on its servers and we access only what's needed to host you well. We don't see your full credit card number.

If you book through Airbnb: Airbnb's privacy policy applies. We see only what Airbnb shares with hosts.

What we don't do

• We don't run advertising trackers or Facebook pixels.
• We don't sell, rent, or trade your information.
• We don't send marketing emails unless you opt in explicitly.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization turned on. It counts page views and shows us which pages get read. We look at it once a week to see what's working and what isn't — for example, whether the fishing guide is more useful than the family-vacation piece. We don't connect it to any advertising network. Google's own privacy policy applies to the data it sees.

If you'd rather not be counted: most browsers honor a Do Not Track signal in settings, and Google offers a browser opt-out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Either one keeps you out of our numbers.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets a small cookie (`_ga`) to count returning visitors. That's the only first-party cookie this site sets directly. If you open the Lodgify booking widget, Lodgify may set additional cookies for the booking flow — those are necessary for the booking to work.

Your rights

Use our contact form at any time to see what we have, correct it, or delete it. We'll respond within seven days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes meaningfully, we'll update the date at the top of the page. The previous version is available on request.
